Terms of service

Who may join

unset.sh is invite-only. You may join only if you are 16 or older. While the invite-country rule is on, we do not invite people in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Australia.

Your profile

Your profile is private until you publish it. Publishing makes it public on unset.sh and in other AT Protocol apps. Copies that other people make may not be recallable.

Photos and videos

Every photo and video you upload, private ones included, is fingerprinted. Only the fingerprint is checked with the Canadian Centre for Child Protection. A match is blocked and reported. During the closed test track the check is a stand-in, and every stored test image is checked with the real service before launch. This sentence stays until Phase 5.

Posts, when posting opens

When posting opens, public posts are reviewed automatically before they go live. You can appeal to a person.

Acceptable use

Do not use unset.sh for anything illegal, to harm someone, to send spam, or to break the service. To report a problem, write to support@staging.unset.sh. You can also read the privacy notice.

Suspension and removal

We may suspend an account or remove content. When we do, we say what we did and why, including when an automated check was used, and a person decides an appeal.

Chat, when chat opens

When chat opens, chat rules apply to the unset.sh client only, not to any other client.
